Just typical shit family Christmas based films. The odd decent animation every now and again. And the annual Queens Speech

That's about it.

In norway the tradition is real as fuck, there's definitely a strict set of things that have to be shown each year. Frist and foremost this old english language sketch I should really remember the name of. It's in black and white and this countess and her butler are having a dinner party. However, all her old aristocratic friends who would usually attend are dead. So her butler just goes around the table drinking everyone's drink and saying cheers as those people, while the countess salutes as if they are there. There's like 4 rounds of drinks so he keeps getting drunker and drunker
miss sophie lololol
we have that at new years before our inbred queen poops on her people

Christmas telly totally used to be a thing, but seeing as we all pretty much watch whatever we want to watch when we want to watch it now... is it still really a thing?
I'll watch the Doctor Who special when it's on... my nephew would probably explode if he was made to wait.

Can't really do christmas TV right without a state channel for the people to watch in unison

Terry's All Gold, Frankenstein and Grrrr!
I haven't watched it since I was a teenager, but it's imprinted on my mind. Might have to dig it out this year!

woops a bit of paganism there
ah but Jesus would've approved
after all he wasn't a Christian & didn't like merchandizing
so I'm making my own wrapping paper this year
...I've been soaking the woodchips since August.
