Post by metalboxproducts » Wed Oct 17, 2007 3:39 pm

Does any one know if it possable to turn the sceen off whilst you have an external moniter pluged into a laptop. Seems a bit of a waist to have 2 moniters at the same time.
If it is possable could you please tell me how?

Cheers

I think you can just shut the laptop when an external monitor is plugged in, and have the computer still running... Im not sure, but look into that.

yeah im pretty sure that'll work. you can also go into the system preferences and under the display option there should be some different dual-monitor options (mirror screen, etc...)

Yeah, I run a cinema display with a macbook pro. If you just want to use the external monitor and not mirror them, close the laptop and then hit the space bar or mouse button the display will come on.
