TeddyLoid Lead Synth and Pumping Sub?

Post by Lemonlust » Wed Nov 26, 2014 4:31 am

Theres this synth I've never heard before that starts at around 0:52

and a pumping sub bass I can't recreate at around 0:58

Does anybody have an Idea on how to make it?

If you mean the lead synth at 0:52, that sounds square waves + processing. If you mean the that one shot synth effect at 0:52, it's just a sine/triangle wave + LFO on pitch with rate descending and envelope decreasing pitch at the same time, layered with reverb kick (aka take a kick sample and drown it in reverb). I suspect it's just taken off some Vengeance sample pack tho.

Can't say for sure about the sub, but i'm pretty sure it's just the low end from the kick, side chaining and arranging other stuff properly makes it to "pump". Also it sounds like there's some "pre-ringing" in the kick, either got by using linear phase eq when mixing kick, or actually putting some stuff in the front of it, so it doesn't click that much, but more like smoothly flow into the punch if that makes any sense.
