Re: Travelling ninjas
I'm in Vietnam right now. It's well good.
Pete - I had unbelievable prang levels in the up and coming weeks to my departure, but now I've settled in and adjusted to the back packing life style, it's wicked.
SE Asia is pretty westernised, so don't expect to be out of your comfort zone tooooooo much.
Can't wait to get to India.

Re: Travelling ninjas
I've been to pretty much every country in Europe, Russia, Kuwait, Turkey, Eygpt, North Korea
MY sister lives in Australia so I'm sure I'll head over eventually
Would love to go to Japan, China, Hong Kong but will probably never happen

Re: Travelling ninjas
Traveling through south-east Asia you'll meet people from western EU on every street
Seems like it's the only place you can go to nowadays.
Really want to go to Canada some day. But we just booked a week of boarding in the French
Alps, not even that expensive but still.

Want to travel to Asia from Europe on something like this. Solo or maybe in a group of 2-3

Lived in Hawaii, Costa Rica, now the UK (London) and Argentina. Been to Cuba, Nicaragua, Brasil, Uruguay, Orlando, Miami and LA in the US. Around the UK, from unusual places like Kettering (lol) to Bridport, Oxford, Isle of Wight, New Forest, Isle of Skye (etc). Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, around Limoges in France and recently Adelaide (South Australia).
Have to go to Asia soon.

Apart from Europe, I've only travelled to Cambodia, which is great. I'm going to move out there once I've completed a TEFL course

you shouldn't worry tbh. most of asia is pretty safe and they have very little animosity towards westerners .. tbh it's more the reverse where you constantly get special treatment that can be too much.
I've been to nepal, brunei, borneo, thailand, indonesia, bali, india
I would generally prefer asia as a destination tbh
In super broad terms it could be said that the jungle in asia is a more inviting experience because in the amazon jungle everything is the same clorophyl green
that makes it way more difficult to actually see animals n ting which they should fix immediately

That'd be so good. You definitely need some sort of a support vehicle for parts toRADD wrote:

do something like that though. Providing you can do all reparations yourself.
Maybe on paved roads it's doable solo, but then I wouldn't go with that bike.
There's a few companies in NL that can help plan this kind of trip. I've never done it myself,
but some people I know were very enthusiastic about it.

yeah I get you, I don't think the culture shock, or lack of communication has got me worried. I think it's more the giving up my career for a year to find out more about the world thing.hubb wrote:pete
