Has anybody landed themselves one of these badboys??? I am really interested in getting one from santa this x-mas and would to hear peoples opinions on this device. I can't wait to start recording my own found sounds and create an all new different style of music!

Yeah it's great. Definitely a good idea to get a recorder with some actual mic inputs.
Google Santa Claus though. You might want to start saving up.

Check out Zoom from Samson. Maybe other manus like Tascam are starting to catch up?

Tascam is solid. Their multi-track recorder are used a lot for location sound
for film and tv. Alternative to Zaxcom basically.
That's not handheld stuff, but I imagine that line of products is good too.
