I can't listen right now but I like your Melodyne idea. I have always been a little curious about what would happen if you formant shift a synth with it.

Hey guys, whats wrong with using Modern Talking in massive? if you know what you're doing, you can reall make some sexy sounds. similar to first of the year if you sample it right. Anyhoo, the way i make my basses mostly is i make sounds in massive, using modern talking or not, and then i sample them and chop them up the way i feel they need to be to fit the track. DO NOT CRITICIZE MY METHODS. Yes, i use FL Studio, Yes, I use Massive, and occasionally Modern Talking, Yes, i am a huge Skrillex fan often regarding him as the king of electronica and my favorite musician. MY OWN OPINION.

Does anyone know how to make the growl in the background around 00:43 in this song? It sounds like it's made in fm8 but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it that clean. Does anyone know of any tutorials because I can't find any for a bass that sounds remotely like that.

Check the barely alive growl tuto first. Then work with a lot of phaser and distortion, if you combine the 3 i think you can get close

First off, I'd like to thank Matt from Barely Alive for creating this thread.
Second, I'm trying to get better at growls and I was wondering if anyone know show to make this growl?

The thing is just that modern talking was so overused and it's really easy to spot when it's used without a shitton of external processing.
new melodic bassy track:

I figured this big "BWA-HER" growl is made in FM8, and I know it has to do with hi-pass automation, but can anyone elaborate on how to make it?

Has anyone been keeping tabs on Teminite's new stuff? He is hitting on some gnarly growls.

Hi everyone, I have followed this thread for such a long time and Hook's post have been really helpful. I made the growls in this track I made last night with massive and if you would like to know how to make them I can explain. The growls consist of two patches, both very similar.Soundcloud

Hey guys! I've been stalking this thread for a while now and trying to get my own growl sound, and i've made this weird "Oh yeah" growl using...you'll probably never guess...Spire... Now of course theres a ton of FX but it sounds amazing if you ask me.

So i made this little demo track to show you it. If you guys want, I can probably show pictures on how I made it. :4:
