Can you make this bass sound? Objekt, akkord, etc

Apologies if this is the most basic question ever, but I'm trying to emulate some sounds and was wondering how some producers go about making them. Example: http://objekt.bandcamp.com/album/objekt-1
On that first track there's this bass sound that keeps coming in. It's a quick thing. Akkord is another artists that uses is a ton in their tracks. Is this from a vst or hardware? Or is it just a sample from a pack?
Currently, I'm using Omnisphere, massive fm8, a Korg ms20, moog lil phratty, Juno 106.

Can you be more specific about which sound you mean?

It's the pulsating bass noise that goes throughout the song. It's pretty much in there with the kick from the get go. I'm assuming it's from a sample pack

If it is from a pack, can someone guide me in the right direction? I'm looking for sounds similar to akkord and Objekt. Not trying to bite their thing, because I'll be adding various live elements with my hardware as well

I'm talking about the sound that becomes prominent at about 3:55. It's a bass noise

Simple massive bass with decay level at 0 do the job with compression

objekt wrote that track for a sample pack competition on here a few years ago (build a track from only the included samples). he won (no surprise) and then he ended up sending it to jackmaster and some others I think

still have the zip somewhere, will look for it some time. ive thought about trying to recreate it from the samples just as a sort of exercise

yeah that being said, the rules in those competitions were always pretty lax

That said, is it cheating if the samples are so utterly mangled as to be unrecognizable?

Hmm. Wonder if it's cheating to mangle a sample down to a sine wave, load it back into Sampler and add some FM....

Just read through that thread again, I'd forgotten how rad Alphacat was tbh and seeing some of those names was a blast from the past. (I've been lurking this place for a very long time; only signed up relatively recently to answer someone's question about ableton haha)

We really need to get more sample pack comps going, I know we won't have nearly the results or response we had back then, but it will be fun.

Alright, now that I've got the sample pack I'm gonna add some of the sounds to my mega folder of goodies.
Can anyone recommend me any other packs I should get? Obviously I'm into Objekt, akkord, also a big fan of Container, Perc Traxx, Answer Code Request, Burial, Haxan Cloak.
