That looks cool. Casio has been known to come out with some cool stuff every once in awhile. I still have my CZ-101.

Actually, here are a couple of my other Casios:

Oh, and those knobs should be black.

MSRP is 399...which leads me to believe it could come in as cheap as 249 when released. It samples and has a synth engine. Looks like they are trying to give Korg a bit of a run for their money...seems fairly similar to the ESX2...and will be released around the same time...

@MKS: You still get use out of your CZ101? I've been quite interested in phase distortion synths for a while now...

I don't mind red instruments. Still have love for the asr-x pro.

That price is high frag. Too high for me.

I'll be honest, I haven't used it in awhile. That thing can get some sounds. I should explore it again. It also has guitar strap pegs so you can rock out with it like its the 80's.

It needs contrast between the knobs and the Mil Falcon.

This is a decent price for one these days:

Edit: Scratch that, I didn't read the whole description.

I think my top price would be 150 out the door. But I blew my xmas bonus wad on practical studio crap this year...cables...new rack mount furniture...MIDI patchbay... :Q:

Oh yeah, what midi patchbay did you get?

And that other stuff are things you need in your studio.

Dude, what he said, what midi patchbay. I've been scratching my head over that the past few weeks as I think about how I want to set up now.

I've got a Unitor 8 but I can't get these jerryrigged drivers to work in xp. I've got an old 98 machine that I think I'm going to attempt to boot up, to see if I can set up the 8, then use it in stand alone.

But I'd sure like a contemporary midipatchbay.

Seriously, the one I have worked great with XP, but just functions with Windows 7. The software doesn't work properly, but the hardware is still working.

I got a used MOTU MIDI Express XT. I haven't got to play with it yet though. All I know is it powers on

Edit: It is one generation old, but from my research I can't see that it is functionally different than the current ones, just doesn't look as pretty?

One of the reasons I'm still running xp on my main production machine. Just got win 7 for that machine, haven't installed... I've got a lot to think about.

The iConnectMIDI4+ would be my current first choice I think. Might not be enough I/O for everybody tho.

I might be able to pull that off with midi thru, chaining up a couple devices on the same port.

You lads wanna help me think about my midi setup? If I posted up some diagrams or something? I'm still doing physical space stuff here, but am going to be actually setting up the gear pretty soon. I've postponed really thinking about the midi setup cause... it's a drag.
