Re: Post Your Random Thoughts: for the production heads
thats definitely one of the top things I've learned
When I re-listen over and over to a tune as I'm making it my perception of the tune gets fucked too much. The groove which to an normal listener would still sound alright sound to simple and flat after hours of listening to the same 8 bars, so I make it too complicated and messy and it ends up shit
I bet its the same with most people, 80% of your successful tune making happens in 20% of your time (or less)
Like, a tune might take 4 hours to make but probably 1 hr of that is the music being rolled out quickly the other is fiddling with things, redeciding sequences etc

I don't think there's any legitimate way to get older ones. And yeah, price tag on 8 is bullshit.hutyluty wrote:does anyone have any idea where i can buy reason 4 to download.

But yeah, I lost the CD. Does anyone know if I copy all the Reason program files over can i get it to work on a new computer- or is that a really dumb question?

I think it could
Re: Post Your Random Thoughts: for the production heads
when i switched laptops i was wondering about transferring ableton, apparently you can't transfer a program, something about the installation and all the various program files in different places makes it impossible, but someone better at computers might disagree

Re: Post Your Random Thoughts: for the production heads
I think it might have worked- but then i got this error: https://www.propellerheads.se/support/u ... ch-reason/ so it wouldnt work on windows 8 anyway lolRKM wrote:when i switched laptops i was wondering about transferring ableton, apparently you can't transfer a program, something about the installation and all the various program files in different places makes it impossible, but someone better at computers might disagree

Ibused to do it with PC games but I bet a daw has stuff in appdata or stuff spread all over theplace
Re: Post Your Random Thoughts: for the production heads
many cracked DAWs and plugins crash/don't work all the time. Not even speaking of all possible trojans and other worms hidden in files.
