no one has said if it was the league or the colts who made the fuss about this. And seeing as Kraft came to Goodell's side (wrongfully) in the Ray Rice case it wouldn't be them to kick up a fuss. REGARDLESS, 4 oz of air less in a football does not equate to the 38 points lead.garethom wrote:Fucking Pats fans man. All I've seen all day is shit like:
Literally nobody is saying anything other than we got dicked on in all areas of the field by the better team. The REFEREES spotted something wrong with the ball, but for some reason, Pats fans seem to think that the Colts are trying to make excuses. No wonder everybody hates them.ehbes wrote:Oh look more excuses

yes it would. Spygate was more them trying to see how far they could push the envelope. Deflating balls is straight up against the rules.DrGatineau wrote:wouldn't be the first time belickick pulled shit like this either, just sayin

Not sure if this is the reason, but it's the thing a lot of places are running with, so I'll go with it. It was pissing down with rain, a fully inflated ball is gonna be hard to hold in that weather, even with giant ass QB hands. A slightly deflated one would sacrifice a bit of accuracy (not that it was needed when Edelman was surrounded on all sides by ten yards of empty space on every third down) for a lot more comfort of grip. I'm guessing there'd have to be an advantage for it to be against the rules.ehbes wrote:But i dont see how it would have benefited the Patriots at all. By all accounts its harder to accurately throw a ball that has less air.

In the most shocking turn of events, a lot of the Pats fans I've seen commenting after it was confirming balls were under-inflated is that they're disappointed in their team. They're right, they absolutely don't need to do it to win as they're clearly good anyway, but this is another blotch on a franchise that still hasn't put Spygate behind them.We still would've lost, but it's like not pushing a student for cheating on a test because we would've got an A anyway

Yes, because Belichick and co were part of a major infraction not that long back, and now have done something again in at least ONE play off game (potentially more), and most importantly, they were CAUGHT doctoring the balls. All other evidence being presented at the moment is that certain teams/players MIGHT have done something.ehbes wrote:so because its the patriots everyone needs to blow this out of proportion when apparently teams have been doctoring the balls all along?
