now that i have ur attention

i took the wrong cable home after a party for the amp on my hi fi system, when it's been on a while i can feel the amp vibrating a bit, even when it's turned off at the switch (but only when it's plugged in)

quite how dangerous is this

Vibrating when its off is pretty dangerous, something is def. amiss here. Could cause a fire imo. Style points for thread name.
