All that melts away when the lights are down and the bass is up.

his bio is very conciseRiddles wrote:yeah i wonder why Unicorn Fucker isn't internationally recognised.....
Unicorn Fukr is an indigenous creature from New Orleans born from mythical fornication. Since 2007, he has been thrusting his horn into the EDM scene, helping to pioneer the bass music takeover of Louisiana. Donning his disco vest and a wide range of electronic music, his ‘GET WEIRD’ ethos has spread like wild fire to all corners of the state and beyond. Through his legendary marathon DJ sets and infamous underground dance parties, Unicorn Fukr succeeds in his quest: to educate and expose people to the absolute dopest, cutting edge beats, and to bring people together to dance ecstatically all night, experiencing the soul-enriching vibes only high quality dance music can provide.
Born in Chicago, with a family from Norway (where as a child he was first exposed to electronic dance music), and a Southern Louisiana upbringing, his eclectic background has been a source of diverse musical interest, influence and inspiration. Best known for spinning dubstep, and deep, tech and funky house, Unicorn Fukr’s repertoire also includes minimal, techno, nu disco, jungle, drum & bass, uk garage, breaks, indie electro, downtempo, and various other styles of bass music. "Very few can mix up the genres and styles and still have some coherence within their sets ... and Unicorn Fukr does it better than nearly everyone I know. A rare talent in the EDM business," proclaims Joe Nice, American ambassador of dubstep. A highly skilled, technical master with a keen ear, Unicorn Fukr meticulously pieces together only the most choice selection of tracks from across the spectrum of sound. His sets are programmed live in the moment to create a seamlessly evolving beat groove where each new bassline drop only reinvigorates his audience's commitment to the dance floor. Notorious for his extended sets, Unicorn Fukr often throws down for 3, 4, 5, 6, sometimes even 9 hours, impressing partygoers with his supernatural stamina.
The Fukr’s magical powers are legendary, and have given him the ability to produce Dionysian events in and around New Orleans, including: Antipop's Dirty Disco, a monthly Baton Rouge event since 2008; Kompression, NOLA's renowned underground house and techno event, since 2010; and the infamous Church (formerly known as Bass Church), Louisiana's original dubstep and bass music weekly, since 2010. Unicorn Fukr can also be found mobbing the streets of his natural habitat at mobile dance parties with the BeatBot and The Bull, as part of The Electronic 2nd Line Krewe.
Through these events -- and during his early days hosting the Antipop Radio Show on 91.1 FM KLSU, where he was one of the first DJs to feature dubstep on FM radio in the South -- Unicorn Fukr has been hard at work, alongside his cohorts at Antipop and Louisiana Dubstep, establishing what is now a thriving underground dance music community. His efforts have helped put New Orleans on the map for both the international bass and house music scenes.
While not busy holding it down for the underground sound with his regular residencies, Unicorn Fukr has performed at nightclubs and events around the U.S. as well as major music festivals, including WMC, SXSW, The Voodoo Music Experience, and Buku Music & Art Project. He’s shared the stage with myriad revered artists such as Mr. C, Adultnapper, Matthew Dear, Doc Martin, Lee Burridge, Eddie Richards, Craig Richards, Laura Jones, Jimmy Edgar, Justice, Etienne De Crecy, Justin Martin, Christian Martin, Tanner Ross, Terry Mullan, Pete Dafeet, Jay Tripwire, Johnny Fiasco, Brett Johnson, Chris Fortier, Joshua Iz, Pete Moss, High Maintenance, Demarkus Lewis and Atnarko, as well as Mary Anne Hobbs, DJ Qbert & DStyles, Distance, Youngsta, Hatcha, N-Type, J:Kenzo, Joe Nice, DJG aka Grenier, Kastle, Goth-Trad, Truth, Salva, Daedalus, Distal, Machinedrum, Matty G, Megalodon, Reid Speed, Antiserum, 12th Planet, Rusko, Nero, Excision, Datsik, Evol Intent, Noah D, SPL, Triage, Psymbionic, Mochipet, ill-esha, ill.Gates, The Gaslamp Killer, Eskmo, AK1200 and countless more! Through this exposure, he has gained the attention, respect, and praise of many of the world's leading DJs and producers and is frequently entrusted with unreleased tunes from top international labels.
Erik Browne, the well-loved, charismatic man behind the unicorn, has earned a reputation as one of the friendliest and hardest working music entertainers on the Gulf Coast and ranks among the region's best. It is clear the future is bright for this young and talented DJ, whose sets radiate the same passion and positive energy that he does.

terrible shame that dubstep had to finally die like this
beaten down and gang raped by techno and onethirty
left to bleed out in a puddle of ketamine
shit haircuts and wavy garms
yeah cause tinnitus inducing tweeny bopper brostep/edm, the god awful mish mash of 3rd rate sample pack garage, "emotional" pitched down vocals, boring indie rock, trap/hip hop, watered down footwork and w/e was popular at the time that was post-dubstep/uk bass or the monotonous dirge of vibeless, ultra clinical by the numbers dungeon were so much better
how is this any different from guys playing funky, house or dub techno years ago? you do realise these guys aren't going to play paul kalkbrenner for 6 hours straight, right?
oh and were was everyone complaining last week when huxley played fwd?
