Re: The SNH Football thread
Pretty much, was pretty shocked that they're that bad, no threat at all. Pub I was in sprayed everyone with champagne and put on the Ghostbusters theme after the final whistle and everyone was singing "who you gonna call? HUNBUSTERS!"

Surprised some of the players weren't trying to jump ship in the transfer window...

Read somewhere that since he signed in January 2013, no one has created more scoring chances in the league.

Re: The SNH Football thread
just need a proper system that utilises having both coutinho and sterling in a way where both gets to influence play and not run in the same spots
same with balo and sturridge eventually
that kind of pairing up can be really good but usually clubs just get rid of one
like tevez and rooney at united

Re: The SNH Football thread
Ideally we have Coutinho behind Sturridge and and Sterling playing off the left side of Sturridge.

Re: The SNH Football thread
ideally imo
balo and stu will become the new cole and york(sorry for mentioning urinited)
and then have the two playmakers behind them and then two bulldogs behind them and four in the back again.
going to look like a grime video when they attack
the cue is in how balo has got the ian rush stache going now

Re: The SNH Football thread
Not at all, funny imo. If any of the big clubs in England were bottom of the prem in Feb, most people would be loving it, never understood the Dortmund-fetish that seems to be going around.ehbes wrote:Real shame
Re: The SNH Football thread
I don't care either way what happens to them, other than the fact Klopp keeps being linked with Arsenal

Re: The SNH Football thread
the sold out stadium and their supporters
the way they deal with the economy and being a working club
and the way they play imo, like when they play real madrid two years in a row and it doesn't seem to phase them too much
stuff like that is pretty unique and then theres all the great players most of which come from a specific talent school and a different kind of trainer with a 'fun' attitude
but yeah ofcourse there's stories to be told from all clubs... i get why this one appeals to a lot of people

Re: The SNH Football thread
I dunno man, I get all of that, but nobody cared about them in the years where they were shit. Just a bandwagon thing IMO, acting cool, cultured and knowledgeable cos they're a european team, and it's not like you just picked the best one, so you can pretend you're not bandwagoning
Re: The SNH Football thread
yes but the prem isn't a 2 team league. If dortmund go down then you pen in Bayern for the title before the season even starts.garethom wrote:Not at all, funny imo. Re: The SNH Football thread
Ofcourse there's also that going on, like there's always a group of fans where that kind of play appeals to them who's ready to jump ship whenever ajax or barca or whoever dips or changes direction slightly... but it's pretty unique and properly 'convincing' to have this many worldclass players comming up at the same time and from a slightly smaller club, who weren't all just barca youth academy rejects or similar. There's Hummels, Gøtze, Gündogan, Piszceck, Lewandowski, and then there's the players like Reus and Mhkitaryan and so on whos on the radar of the biggest clubs having just played a season under Klopp.garethom wrote:I dunno man, I get all of that, but nobody cared about them in the years where they were shit.
