Wonder Beats - Zelda Song of Storms Remix

Post by Wonder_Beats » Fri Feb 06, 2015 6:25 am

Hey guys, Zelda is one of my favorite games so i decided to make a remix of Song of Storms. I tried focusing a lot on my mixing technique on this one. While working on it I definitely can tell my mixing has improved a ton!

Would love any criticism!

Hi, I'm new to this site, and also a remixer so here goes!
I really like the piano, I usually like the vocals associated with the video game where the remix comes from, but I think they could be better placed, to fit into the beat instead of being somewhat random. This is opinionated criticism, but the listeners opinion definitely matters. I think the mixing is done pretty well! Good job.

Yeh i agree that the original song shots could be placed a little smoother, sometimes it just doesnt flow that well.

I would also put a more thicker sub, this doesn't have very much low end to it, lots of mid from what I can register in my reference.

During your bridge there, I would put some of those sounds in a more organized pattern, maybe in a random pattern as if you were scrolling through the game / playing it in the background as a bit of a nostalgic atmosphere for those who know the franchise.
