Using the http://www.unlocator.com DNS servers lets me switch between UK and US NetFlix, so wouldn't be surprised if it'd get you to the iPlayer... free trial can't hurt.

I use Hola for that. It's free.

We have a paid one for the Apple TV, but that doesn't let me switch easily. So that's on US.

A quality VPN is well worth the money imo, some go for as low as ~£20 a year
