Been wanting one for so long, found one that wasn't absurdly expensive.

Absolutely crazy book. The hero is you, the Reader, trying to read If on a winter's night a traveler by Calvino. Nothing goes as planned, though, as mistakes in the book's production, inconsistencies from the editor and other fortuitous events turn this simple premise into an adventure centered around the act of reading and its implications. You'll never get to read If on a winter's night a traveler in full: each time you think you've found the end, it's only another novel by another author, totally different. But you'll never get to finish those either...



Eugene Onegin by Pushkin

Classic. Story in verses of the perfect russian gentleman. Sarcastic, funny, harmonious and frankly way ahead of its time. Make sure you get the best translation, a lot of editions have it translated into prose. You don't want that.



A hero of our time by Lermontov

Bought this one after finishing Eugene Onegin. The context is very similar, although Lermontov approaches them in a much more dramatic fashion. Beautifully written and, surprisingly enough for a XIX century russian novel, draws you in from the first page

About 100 pages off finishing Catch-22. It's been a good read, not often a book makes me laugh out loud but Heller is very good at pointing out the absurdity of it all.

Got Hitchcock by Truffaut lined up next. Really enjoyed the Welles interviewed by Bogdanovich book also that I read earlier in the year.
