Re: Castle - Lazy (deep jazz/percussive)
Id take a 320 of that and play it at 140 really
Re: Castle - Lazy (deep jazz/percussive)
Great ideas going on here, I would have liked to see more variation in the atmosphere/melody you got going on there, maybe add some more effects on it, throw in a smooth jazz sax or something as well to add more flavour.
Re: Castle - Lazy (deep jazz/percussive)
definitely needs some variation especially in the melodies but good ideas represented
Re: Castle - Lazy (deep jazz/percussive)
Yeah ill third some variation, and good ideas. But dont let it discourage you getting a good idea is half the battle, then arrangement.
As far as mix bring that pad down a bit like 10 db maybe more.
Look into structuring as well, most tracks move in 16 bar sections or 32.
your intro seems to be only 8 bars long unless you consider the next 24 your intro as well, but your kick has a good amount of sub bass and most people don't put sub in the intro.
Just a few things i think might help for over all structure, unless you wanna go make some crazy type stuff with no structure then forget everything i mention.
cheers man

I was permitted to hear an incredible music ... i heard the gestation of the new world... the sound of stars grinding and chafing , of fountains clotted with blazing gems... music is planetary fire, an irreducible which is all sufficient it is the slate-writing of the gods.
