i love how actual forms of education are actually looked upon as inadequate by some people these days. i've actually heard people say things like "oh you think you know about [subject x] just cause you took a bunch of classes?" (that was someone in real life lol) people seem to have actually convinced themselves that reading reddit is a better form of education than actual education.

no but seriously there's been a culture of denying experts and higher education since reagan, its a trickle down effect from that hitting right wing media and then being used populistically and then down the line people take on the opinion..
