MBox

Post by chunkie » Wed Oct 24, 2007 3:34 pm

just a heads up really

bought a used MBox from a mate - my purpose being a Focusrite audio interface to replace my old m-audio, with the option to play about with pro tools

been on the digidesign website and if you got pro tools 6.x (included with original mbox) you can download the latest v7.3 for only £53!!

although this MBox is old hat now (see MBox 2/mini) this surely has to be the cheapest way to run a pro tools system for anyone looking, ie

ebay -
50 quid mbox
53 upgrade

just over a ton for a focusrite audio interface and latest version of pro tools le

:D

im still rockin the original mbox. better mic pre's than the newer versions which are no longer focusrite equipped. i think they might even be the same pre's that are in the control 24 :)
