I agree with that, but saying although everyone else loves it you personally aren't really feeling Spongebob is kind of different from going and laying into a new producer in the dubs forum.

I'd agree with Stanton except that almost everyone in this thread has been a) talking about tunes that are absolutely massive, have ten page appreciation threads, all of that producer's other tunes are also massive and so on b) been fairly polite and respectful ie said "I'm not feeling this tune" rather than "this tune fukken suks man that producer blows goats what a wanker etc" and / or c) been fairly nonspecific eg "I don't really like reggae samples."[/quote]

It's true. A tune has to be big enough to become irritating before anyone's interested in dissing it! (apologies for going back ontopic here). Big up all the down to earth, non-paranoid, non-sicophantic, honest people on this thread.

Dubstepforum people are allowed to have taste. Thank fuck for that.

And i actually coined the term Gambient and patented it so you both owe me 70p.
70p is a bit steep.

Hmmm.

I'm going rename it Slambient.

Slothrop

I understand why your not feeling alot of Coki tunes. If you spoke to him you would realise he works 9-5 in a shitty office. He has not got the time like other producers, benga, mala, skream. e.t.c to make great music. Plus he knows he aint one of the biggest producers in the scene otherwise he would of left his 9-5.

I except Coki is not in your good book as he is not a badman or a good guy but atleast understand when these tunes get dropped in the rave they go off. He is not producing tracks for yu to make love to your bitch or chill out like its a jazz show.

Anyway you are good for admitting this tune is shit, as it is the simplest thing to make in the dubstep scene at the moment.

I think slothrop was just using Coki as an example, not actually expressing and opinion... correct me if i'm missing something.

Why use Coki as an example?

You look at the votes for dubstep nominations and you will see Mala, Burial and kromestar are running things. Why not use one of there tunes as an example or is it because they make tunes so you can make love to your bitch or you feel like your chilling in a jazz show.

What doesnt he like about it, is it because it isnt EQ properly or there isn't enough stereo? is it because the bass does not go with his shit riffs?

I suggest you all turn your attention to producers that you do like and point your opinions to the productions you dont like from them.

At the end of the day Mala, Burial and Kromestar cant do anything wrong, every beat they produce is great. I agree, i seen it for myself what there tunes have do in raves without Coki tunes beening played before theirs.
