Reason 4

Post by fullyrecordingz » Sat Oct 13, 2007 4:46 pm

What's going on with the pecil tool on the sequencer? I'm used to Reason 3, where you can draw in the notes or drum pattern. Reason 4 is slightly different in this respect... and it's left me confused.
It's like all the notes are permanently grouped aswell.
Does it only allow MIDI sequencing?

Just double click the part in the roll you want to edit with the arrow tool, then you can use the pencil tool as per.

Or draw in a part on the roll with the pencil, double click again and switch back to pencil.

when i open a instrument it all ready has a patch loaded in it, not blank like reason 3. i find this quite annoying.

eg create up redurm and it opens with disco kit.

can you turn this function off? or do i have to make blank patches and load them every time?
