Hello, my name is Kevin and I'm 21. I am a student at Leeds Universtity. I've been making 'electronic' music on and off since I was a young'un, where I first discovered I could hook my Yamaha keyboard and two cassette decks up to a carboot bought mixer :) Now I'm starting to dabble with dubstep. Bought my decks when I was 15...I'm pretty good, but to date I haven't made it very far out of the 'bedroom'.

I've been into the sound for around six months - one of my current housemates (known to you as 'ufo...') played me a few tracks, but I wasn't sure to begin with. However, I then saw Mala play in Leeds, and I haven't looked back! :D

Hello,

I'm Dj Gena (Kajsa) from Stockholm, Sweden. I've been dj- ing since 1995, started out with techno and then discovered breaks and dubstep 2004. I'm trying to spread the dubstep vibe in Sweden and I think people are slowly waking up...
I'm a picky bastard when it comes to mixing. I'll start producing soon as well, waiting for some gear...

kris. new york city.

i inhale ingest expunge deconstruct reformulate electronic music.

information society debut album was the first non-formulaic-rock/pop music i ever possessed.
after that there was no going back.

(well, it was formulaic too.
but at least it wasn't the same old shit
and sounded lots more fun.)

phil here. 19yrs old, at Michigan State University..
i love music of just about any kind, but i haven't been as excited about something as i am about dubstep; got into it prolly 8months ago.

it convinced me to buy my first set of decks, yesterday. gonna practice my mixing all summer and work on bringing the sound out here. people that live around me are already diggin it, so i know it can happen.

sups.
<- bob. 19 too.
from manchesterthereabouts. i run a dnb label called exegene, where we give our releases away for free as hiq mp3s.

mr ben ufo got me into this sound with one of his mixes a couple of weeks ago. since then i've downloaded a load of mixes and stuff and went to my first dubstep night (bass camp) on friday just gone. so god damn murky.

thing that got me hooked on dubstep is the differences in production. theres bits of trance, apaches + amens sliced in jungle style, minimal bleeps, dub reggae (what i produce), and all out rawness all fixated over this dark skankin framework.
oh and my acute love of subharmonic frequencies.
so yeah, its fuckin good stuff.

so im here to find out who made the wicked tunes i've brockin out to.

I'm Joe, 29 years old.

I work at home as a graphic designer/webdesigner and produce tunes like everyone else on this forum.

I used to promote drum n bass nights in the hell hole that is Romford.

I've escaped Essex now and have moved down to Brighton.

I've recently become a Dad.

I am tired.
