people are just getting very excited and have strong opinions

lets calm down. dubstep is why we log in :)

no need to be aggresive or dramatic in a music forum.
dont be tempted to react to irritatiing people+opinions

pls ignore any drama :)

thankyouplease

My view on all this: Forums, messengers, the internet in general is a strange place. You can't really pick up feelings, emotions, sarcasm etc so I think we should go back to basics and talk in simple plain english.

Meh maybe I'm chatting air lol, ignore me!

Im a relatively new poster here, watched from the distance for a while. I have found that the people here seem to be much nicer and kinder than at other forums, but there are always going to be trolls and fighters, no? Still seems the bulk of the people are really cool and friendly, hope it stays that way. Respect to you al for even caring enought to read this thread.

Basically .. yeah

been thinking this myself a bit latley... sometimes i can't even be bothered to browse anymore, as the amout of pointless posts thats just clog up the forum put me off.. and i do hate to say it but i agree with kion that the majority of these post are left by users that have been joined for a few days, have already left 100 posts..and have taken it on themselves to become some kind of ambassador for dubstep and speak for us all.. we all have a voice and will rep the sound in our own ways.. normally through making tracks or playing out.. some people need to get out more, there is a world outside of the internet, this forum and dubstep, you know...

I've never been big on forums but felt at home here with the amout of love and equal respect everyone gave each other, but over the last few months a minority are changing the feel of this forum, its even being discussed off the forum which i think is leading to bigger problems.
I did wonder how long this place would take to become the next DOA, and with their users bringing the beef onto here (you know who you are) its getting the longer serving members backs up...

This might seem a bit of a hated reply put its not, i'm sure a few people agree that its a message to SOME people to think before they post.. we all want to be heard but don't shove your views down our throats..

Bring back the positive vibes, and let dubstep take its own path cos from where i'm sitting its done a pretty good job so far...

Peace..... 8)

Pretty much. I can take a lesson from this statement... not you, but everyone else, it would be nice if you didn't just slate my tastes--or anyone else's... even if they arent dubstep... ALL THE TIME.

honestly you are so long. not sure what you were expecting posting so off-topic, and your reaction jus smacks off toys flying out of yr pram. all a bit embarassing. regardless of tools (bands, you or otherwise), jus remember your manners init. tbh, I'm thinking any1 who makes virtual threats is probably not cutting it to back it up reality-wise. not that I care if you are, but your posts are far funnier when I imagine you (6 stone, skinny weakling with think glasses and a night-time bladder retention problem) typing them out inna right old 2 an 8. possibly asking yr mum about difficult spellin an ting. and really, don't post your vital stats in response - that's not the point m8 (nb/fyi - american cusses are bare funny, and even more so when written down. on a losing one already).

ahem, anyways, these are the things I'm not feeling about the forum lately:

- millions of pointless threads - 'how many good releases are there lately? ' 'hi new member' and so on.
- the obligatory pages of a thread that might have started off as interesting, then descends into 'big up you', 'no, big up you', 'no, big up you more' and so on. rent a room, give each other some blowjobs, keep it off my screen (nb - and you can do this shit virtually, so no excuses).
- pics of jiggly tits as avatars. marsyas you seem nice m8 but this shit is long. same for 'woo-hoo STRIPPERS' in thread titles - any girls that happen upon the forum as their first contact with dubstep will run away asap from the adolescent yoot club they jus found.
- honest criticism being confused with hating. ben ufo got it in the neck from all and sundry, although the basic essence of what he was saying (skream is a better producer than he is dj) is pretty much true. I think that artists/producers/DJs do things in a public way, and the things they do are up for public consumption. I'd like to be able to make a comment, loved-up or otherwise, about a tune/show/set and not have said dj and his mates on my (virtual) case when I've done it. if a forum if just for 'i love dubstep and everything to do with it all the time in a totally uncritical way' then I'm allowing it. right now.

so, anyone checked the new cliff richard? :o

a critical point (no pun intended), excellently made.
