This might have come up before but it's a cool topic

Mine would be:
Drum Machines: (beat sketchpad) Akai Mpc 500 , MPC 2500
Synths: Virus TI, Korg MicroKorg
Turntables: Technics SL 1210 with a Stanton SMK.211 Mixer
Monitors: Edirol MA7A
Additional Hardware: Tascam USB interface, some sort of mixing desk, Stanton DJ Pro 80 headphones, Shure Unidyne Mic and a condenser mic of some sort.
What's Yours?

Drum Machines: Elektron Machinedrum or Monomachine
Synths: Roland JV8080, Korg MS2000, Novation Super BassStation
I don't DJ.
Monitors: Genelecs, NS-10s (yeah, right)
Other Stuff: CME 88-key weighted keyboard, Casio PG-20 or Ztar (both MIDI guitars), melodica, sitar, a fucking SCSI connection that works for my sampler.

blatantly! if i had a sitar, fuck the studio i would just get stoned and make funny noises all day.
i don't really know what i want, but an akai mpc and a few weird analogue synths would probably help me make better music. i definately want serato so i can manipulate my own samples and tunes though...
edit. a theremin and some better monitors, a ridiculously huge pa with loads of bass, roland space echo, good drum kit for making dub, kids keyboards that have been circuit bent, and some dub siren type devices

Yeah, you really gotta watch your signal-to-thought ratio on those.

one step further
a small chip implanted in the brain which contains full software suite ready to record, sequence and master my ideas into coherent pieces of music which then wirelessly transfer to my mac in flawless digital form ready to burn onto cd and take a trip to the pressing plant
edit - too much effort actually, i'll email the pressing plant instead!
if only......

id kill for one of these bad boys:
http://www.tlaudio.co.uk/docs_07/produc ... rack.shtml
i love the sound of the TLAudio VTC consoles and this is the most compact equivalent to those. would make a great front end for a computer based home studio, valve goodness. you can also get a separate ADAT interface add-on for easy connectivity.
