Now we always suspected that Kode 9's influence went beyond the confines of the insular dubstep scene,
boomkat love taking digs at dubstep!

I have to admit I was quick to pull the needle up almost as soon as I had put it down. I scrutched my face a bit bewildered. Upon further listens, I'm still unsure about what I feel about 9 samurai remix. I wish I had heard it without ever hearing the original because I'm find it difficult to appreciate it objectively. Sunset Dub is what is making me want to go back to Blackmarket and get the 12. Hope I hear it both at DMZ

not really that wierd! interesting maybe..

8bits not such an avante garde scene, a lot of it is very poppy from my short experience of it

Listened on Juno today- love it, the perfect antidote to an increasingly serious scene.

Actually, i really don't like that kind of sound (well, i guess it's just not my thing :)),
but i admit this is a good tune.

Large up Hyperdub for releasing this.

Kode played this and the 9 Samurai remix at FWD, and i was skeptical beforehand, but it sounded awesome, obviously would have preferred the original tune, but it was good all the same, has to be heard loud to get past the mario soundtrack vibes

Hey Zeus..
after hearing the 9 samurai remix at DMZ (and being blown away) heard the flip yesterday and it did something to me. every now and again u hear a tune that just does something that is pointless really trying to explain.
fair play to the hyperdub crew for steppin up on this one, im gonna go hungry 2moro to bag this up....

as the P.U.T.S said 'i'll buy a record before i put food on my plate'

I'm not so into the 9 Samurai remix. I can appreciate it as a very convincing old 8-bit video game-sounding theme, and the tune suits that.

Sunset Dub on the other hand I like. It's still got that 8-bit vibe whilst just being a much more fun tune. The confused but encaptured look on a friend's face just after the drop when I played it to him the other week was priceless, or at least worth the 6 quid I paid.
