Yes, anyone in here cycling at all? I'm doing it every day as alternative to public transport and I reckon it's the best transport to get around Babylon-don city, unless it's party time and you are intoxicated.

When you get a bus to work and back home - you waste 1hr each way and you don't see anything apart of inner bus and outside the window. Going with a system. On the bike you can go any way you like. On my way to work and back I see sooo many things, you wouldn't believe.

So, what are you riding, what you like / don't like when cycling in the city or maybe you are hater.

I can go on forever, but now it's your turn.

iäm definitly a biker, gotta nice ride some gave me for free. except now i snapped the handle bars off the frame and have them connected with tape (not even duct tape, but some lame boxing tape) and canät really turn well. big up the junkie cycle crew

No fucking way man. I'd never go for fold up bike. Dirt-Jump bike all the way, so I can go anyway (literally) I want. Plus few tricks, jumps and grinds on my way makes it more fun.

I have one of these /\/\/\ , bloody nice bike and fast as hell but as I'm new to London and a bit of a pussy I'm terrified cycling on the busy roads.
I can't quite believe that a huge bus or some tnuc in a SUV will notice me.

Track bikes and road bikes all the way. Living in Italy, I've had my hands on some AMAZING bikes. I have friends who sell bikes/bike parts on ebay all day to bike couriers in the states.

I just had a late 70's colnago with a lot of the original hardware, in great shape. Finally, it was stolen from right out front the studio.

i get around on a little honda 125cc scooter the majority of the time but i also like to cycle bare, got some little mountain bike from decathlon, also did a bit of off road stuff in a forest down near tunbridge wells recently - was SICK

kinda sketchy on the bike/scooter in london though

Gettin bumped.

I ride fixed too, loved it since I started. I get around in the city way faster than car or public transportation, it's fun, and it's good exercise.

Bianchi Pista frame (I know, I know), DT Swiss RR 1.1 rims, Harris Cyclery hubs, Sugino crankset (48), EAI sprocket (14).

Yeah, car doors are killer. And those big grate things in the middle of the roads! We've got them all over Seattle for the bus tunnel ventilation or some such, when it rains those things are absolute death traps... one fall and you can shatter multiple bones.

Aight, someone clear something up for me... Ive been riding for a long time, but where I grew up/rode most of the time it was all mt bikes and bmx - not too many road bikes. Is fixed exactly how it sounds? Does it freewheel or is it like that big wheel in that the pedals move if the rear wheel moves? Ive been thinking about getting one, or fixing up this mountain bike my roomate said I could have if I fixed it up. Those track bikes look dope, but I dont think my knees could handle it if I had no freewheel...

Oh, and who knows about this bad boy? Huffy just started making em again - I want an adult sized one! I would ride that shit to work everyday!

Been road biking since I had my first roadie bike at age 9 (a blue ernie clements), followed by a harry quinn, barry hoban then a peugeot for my 18th (not a car...!).

When I moved to London switched to mountain biking and bought a Specialised Stumpy, given the fucker a few upgrades over the years and its still doing the job:

only disadavantage is that I'm always sweaty as a motherfucker by the time I get to uni..
