problem with latency

Post by ozols man » Tue Nov 06, 2007 12:11 pm

easy. im trying to record a mix in my new mac. however when i record in audacity the music coming out of the speakers is at a different time from what i hear in the headphones. does anyone know how to solve this? i heard its to do with the buffer size but i cant seem to find that in the old audacity. any help? cheers

go into your soundcard control panel and lower your buffer settings

If you want to monitor through your mixer, connect your mac to a channel on your mixer, and then back into your mac for bouncing files out.

you have to mute the line in recording from being output to the speakers. that's what's giving you a delay...

or put the headphone in the soundcard so u have the same overall latency,
but lowering the buffer or rerouting the signal of the mac in to the mac is the better option
