i think it originated from 'buck wild' as in a wild bucking horse or deer.ajantis_art wrote:Hang on i thought it was "brock wild"!? dear oh dearAshley wrote: Dance or brock wide?

@the original post.....
any music should have the ability to make you move.
its a prehistoric tribal thing. buried in our sub-conscious is the desire to move our bodies to beats. even if it be just a head nod.

People dance to dubstep? I thought it was just loads of people discovering the floor was slightly tacky for a disproportionately long period of time. That and the nodding head in agreement to the music.
There's always been a non-dance element to dance culture anyway, 99% of most dj's, mc's, guestlist people, dealers, etc. Now finally there's a dance genre for the sit around and chat crew if only they'd turn down the fucking speakers.
I always thought it was the non-dance level that appealed to people anyway - do people really dance to Distance or Cyrus for instance? Not dissing on their styles (although I'm not into them, they're well written and produced) but it doesn't exactly hit the "party" button to my mind.

Hmm....

id agree with you there. do like to listen to them but theyre not really something that gets me going in the dance. saw distance in barecelona in this sick venue in a cave with a huge soundsystem but was a bit disappointed to be brutally honest, didnt get me dancing much at all. the warm up dj on the other hand was wicked. and filistine playing most of his set by drumming on a shopping trolley was amazingShonky wrote:I always thought it was the non-dance level that appealed to people anyway - do people really dance to Distance or Cyrus for instance?
