smells like dubstep is not only "few big djs rinsing out big tunes" and that's it

tastes differ. such threads should be deleted once they are created.

Fuck me I wasn't expecting Dubstep Allstars 5 to be given as an example, I really like it. Mr N Type I hail you from the Isle Of Wight for being a general leg end and funny to boot. What do you think about clownstep? My suspicions are being slowly confirmed that its the mythical rocking horse shit of the dubstep world

lol @ shitting your leg!

@ N type i purchased and enjoyed allstars 5, theres quite a few good tunes on it and its mixed perfectly, just to many dub police style wobblers for my taste, wasnt a put down at all. think its the fact that flapjack dub is on there and its the first time i heard that, that tune is pure comedy....

Seen.

I like ice cream, but I wouldn't want to eat it all day every day. Dubstep 3 course meals is where it's at.

I wouldn't call it Clownstep for a start cause it sounds well derogatory.

But when it comes to what i consider to be bate wobblers...Kromstar has already been mentioned and you could also view Rusko and Caspa as being part of that category.

Cockney Thug is what I think of. Maybe Night as well. That sort of thing - big cheesy bosh-along anthems, basically. But like I said, I don't think it's neccessarily a bad place - I love both of those tunes.

And I like the name. It sounds like music that's actually going to be bouncy and fun rather than endless moodiness.

people might express distain towards "bait wobblers" but dubstep's such a diverse genre no ones gonna like everything

its too vast to become stereotyped as a "wobble" genre because there are wobble tunes

certain people love a wobbler
certain people dont

if WE, the supporters of the music, start chucking around all these "wobble" and "clown" words are we not contributing the the growth of a stereotypical view which may grow to damage dubstep?

what's frustrating is that there were exactly the same discussions regarding DnB just a few years ago....

if only coki knew that his latest and biggest would divide a nation and lead to a mass-debate.
