for me a lot of that dub police stuff lacks sublety. i LOVE coki, benga and skream - including spongebob, oskillator etc. but rusko and caspa's stuff just sounds juvenile and a bit shallow. samples and melodies are overly simple and dumb and the samples for the most part seem tacked on. i do like one or two of there's but i think they are definitely the most like the bad side of "clownstep".

if you don't like hype wobbley sets don't listen to n type , pretty simple......

if people stopped moaning like oaps about the sound suffering from bland tunes and used that time to do something about it.... would probably be a more beneficial use of tim eh..

this has got to be one of the worst threads on the forum ie ever come across. seriously.

why are peeps argueing about they dont like this persons tunes and that persons tunes? they arnt exactly being forced into your ears or something are they?

there are plenty of styles and producers im not into but i dont feel like i have to go about telling everyone that thier productions are 'killing the scene' because they are obviously not, the more styles and flavours you got going in any one genre of music can only be a good thing.

if we all followed one blueprint and made tunes that are all identical - we wouldnt have such diverse and great producers like; Burial, Benga, Pinch, Clouds, Quest, Rusko, Mala, Coki....... etc etc.

Tbf, although this thread is pretty waste (at least I think it is, I can't actually remember what it was about anymore), noone's forcing it into your eyes either.

I am really sorry that this thread has ended up as it has. I started it to try and find out about the term 'clownstep' and whether anyone could define it specifically. I really didn't intend to start such a long and embittered rant. Personally I would never bother pigeon hole anything, I like loads of music, even some stuff which isn't actually dubstep at all

Dubstep doesn't need definition.
