any other smokers tend to smoke a lot in the studio?
I've been trying to quit for a little over a month but find it VERY hard to concentrate in the studio without reaching for a butt.

Mate, that is the only thing that prevents me from stopping totally. Most people say that having a snout with a drink or after food is the most difficult to give up but I beg to differ. When working on tunes I smoke like a bastard. It just doesn't feel right otherwise.
I know exactly how you feel.

I've done it in there, but I won't bake out my studio. I have a room for smoking ganja, and a room for smoking basslines.

beer and a bifta at the start of a new track is ace, blazin' all the way through it to the end is also nice but knowing when hold back on this spliffs and beer whilst laying down a track is getting harder to do. too blazed=less productivity, getting caught up on minor things for hours like processing a loop keep happening. ah well, smoke it up.

Its funny cos they do say that smoking draw or drinking effects the ears so the music ppl make when intoxicated, what we listen too is nearly always made by stoners, stoners make the best music...Interesting thought whne you read this thread!

I like being a little lean for the creative process, but never for a mixdown.. My ears just go and i struggle to foucs on the sonics...
i like to then go back and check the mixdown after a zoot
I Know mans tho, that do wicked mixdowns when their mass up..
all about finding your own way me thinks
