easy guys, should be heading up for this with a few mates. Need some advice if possible tho:

Option 1. Do an all nighter, and travel there and back by train getting the earliest one the following morning at 5.50am.

Option 2. Stay in some dirt cheap accomodation overnight...reccomendations?

Is the night 10pm-4am as last time?
cheers

yeah coma, big up, the night finishes at four so it's not too long to wait for the train.

There's a licensed 24 bar and greasyspoon cafe called goodbody's in the mutley plain area that you could kill an hour in- we sometimes go there for a late drink and brekky after packing up all the shit - that's not usaually til about 6 / 7 tho. Alternatively ride and cuba on north hill stay open til 5 I think.

Cheap accomodation would be found up on the hoe, loads of B&Bs not too far from the rave.

www.cranbournehotel.co.uk might be worth a look - but it's always a bit weird trying to find somewhere that don't mind the post rave lie-in.

It's worth bearing in mind that the venue is right inside the bus / coach station so if you (or any other potential travellers!) arrive by that method you'll be dropped off / picked up about 15 metres away from the club door!

Hope that's of help!

Nice one man, wicked info. Might have to hit that greasy spoon before heading back. Can't go wrong with 15m walk either! Will have to spread this night around the falmouth crew... :D

would be good to see some support from the kernow massive. it's all about the word of mouth. i postered the 10 main towns in cornwall for the launch night back in april without much success.

Really briefly chatted on the forum a while back about possibly sorting a dubstep night out down here in falmouth. LEQ you're St. Agnes way right? Any news on the night by the way man? I'm a student @ uni down here in fal necta.

On a completely unrelated topic, some guy was playing a dubstep set all night at the Q bar last friday, he knew his vinyl but the sound was appaling. Think the neighbours around the place are stress heads. Seems to be percolating through though...

well, this appears to be the issue with falmouth - apart from a biggun at the stannary where can you make a decent bit o' noise?

New member, but you already know me.Its sam who does the flyering for you, i took you and lewis' advice and joined this forum.Took bloody long enough to get my membership verified though.Ill defo get some flyering done for you 2morow, been a bit hectic with uni work and driving lessons last couple of days.

I think the place im talking about is somewhere else, its called backpackers international hostel or something, ill try and get some info on it from my mates girlfriend when i next see her next, i seem to remember it being very cheap.

Ah, cool! Got a load given out yesterday between 5 and 6 - was good 'cause there was no-one else there (giving 'em out) unlike lunchtime.

I'm always try and get plymouth ravers to join this: http://southwestunderground.net/forum/
As we're a bit under represented on there !

Easy mate! yeah we should meet up soon really, got to meet some other guys down there to have a chat about the night so be good to all meet up over a few beers and talk things through. Yep I'm St Agnes way as well by the way.

I've been in to the Q bar a few times, and know the owner, but the system is pants and sounds crap, we could probably do it there but it's not a club/bar that would suit dubstep, imo, still , better than nowhere if it can be done. I'm thinking more Wood Lane way, I've had a chat with the owner already.

Seems it's growing nicely down there though, got to get on it! I'm free this weekend actually so if you are about I might pop down?

Q bar also got shut down last time I went ( Rephlex night ) cos of the noise, and Grant was only playing Disco...!

Hello, i am said guy who was playing dubstep all night @ Qbar, would be grand if there was a platform for sick underground music in faltown but as you have seen there is a lack of venues/decent sound systems, the sound in Qbar isn't great and the stannary sucks too.

Glad you guys enjoyed traxx on friday though, i had SO much fun playing them.

I will be travelling up on train for Subheavy on Fri, meeting crew in plym too and we'll be heading down 11ish, then back on train 5.50am...see the lengths we have to got to just to get some serious bass in our lives!!

If anyone wants to talk promoting dubstep nights in fal then please get in touch, i used to be resident for a night called freeform @ The pirate (R.I.P) and we hosted some big names in drum n' bass (Paradox from reinforced, Total science, Aquasky, Suv, Blu mar Ten, Danny Breaks, etc.) (This was in the days before drum n bass became formulaic and shite. It was exciting and had promise, bit like where dubstep's at now)

Looking ahead to FRiday , whoop!!
