Mick really wants to do it, it's the matter of finding the right venue. We're on the hunt right now, so, just be aware that sometime during that time period, Scorn will play NYC.
Excellent. I will definitely be in attendance to consume the bass.
I'm also quite excited to have read the other day that whilst in NYC, Mr. Harris will record new Painkiller material with Zorn and Laswell.
OUT IN THE STREET,
THEY CALL IT MURDA

yeah, I actually also talked to headhunta when we had him out for Lurkery, and I'm trying to rope him into doing something with Laswell on bass for some extra dubstep crossover madness...we'll see if anything comes of it!

First listen didn't do too much for me but this time around it's hitting me a lot harder (had the same experience with Cyrus's From the Shadows, come to think of it). Definitely a strong dubstep feel to this, dark and heavy. Still recognizably Scorn, though.
Funny that you mentioned From The Shadows - I got that from Pinch when he and Distance played the first Lurkery we threw, and it similarly took me a bit to get into - but then when I put it on in a car with a rocking system, it blew me away.
The ones on the Scorn album for me are the odd numbered tracks - Stripped Back Hinge, Glugged (huge!), Snag, and Enough to Hold Bottom. They're all good but those ones really make it happen for me.
blackdown wrote the exact same thing first in one of his classic reviews in pitchfork. bought the lp here in greece. thanx

this is submerged, and I've got fuck all to do with manstep, except for I support it. a lot of people say they know what it is, but they know about as much as I do!

haha I do indeed ALWAYS play some Scorn in any of my sets. The first music I wrote ever was more like Scorn, and I have some of my own slow grinders as well mate!
Let's do it, Adelaide for 2008!
Will hit you on myspace about the distro situation in Aus - territories that are covered are Japan, North America, South America, Europe/UK (Ad Noiseam), but I don't have a specific Aus licensee for this album yet.
