This seems alright although you can only have 16 VST instrument slots/5 insert effects per channel, I probably won't be using all of them due to lack of ram but I am wondering 2 things.
Exactly what instruments/effects do you get and do I get a dongle free with it?

That's not really an issue, as you can get usb splitters for next to nothing.
The problem is by using a dongle for licensing you often get problems, jump on a cubase forum anywhere and you'll see people complaining about the stability of the dongle and the software.
Saying that, the dongle which comes with 4 has prevented it being cracked for a few years now, so I doubt steinburg care about the people having issues with them.

more chance of breaking the fucker when you knock it or drop summat down the back. if you lose/ break the dongle the fuckers dont replace it... you have to buy the software again. any of you lot use a laptop to produce? dongles must be a pain in t'arse for thatAuan wrote:Wouldn't it make more sense for the dongle to have a USB In port on the back, so that another device could be connected through it? That's how the old parallel/gameport dongles worked. Just a thought.
In fact, shouldn't all USB devices have another In port? It can be daisychained, it's in the spec.
