that is most people's first reaction, but microsoft is also a shit company
I think AIM might be the only thing that AOL has gotten right

I use both, MSN is more for mates and ladies, AIM is for Dubstep heads, infinately better for sending shit.
I go for aim tho, granted the emoticons aren;t quite as badboy, but when i was mixing down a tune really loud some tnuc tried to start a a convo on msn and the congos blew my facking speakers and scared my cat!!!!

aims good for sharing files, can set up auto-accept so people can send you their latest dubs which is ace. but generally prefer msn for actually talking to people

aim is good for transfer other than that nothing else about it is any good ichat doesnt work, hmm it looks cruddy compared to msn... but on the other hand u get those retarded advertisements on msn... go for trillion... unless you have a mac.

oh shit, irc is still alive, and theres a dubstep channel.. dopeness, didn't know peeps still used it.. especially non-gamers...
oh, yeah and msn > aim.... simply cuz i don't know anyone who uses aim, but it couldn't be too hard to be better than msn tho, its a bloated peice of colourful shit

aim for two reasons.
1. the file transfers.
2. more peeps in the game use aim.
simple logic.
used to use msn but started getting hassled by teenage witches.
aim is more for the boys i think.
