Boxcutter - Oneiric

Post by boomnoise » Sun Apr 09, 2006 4:55 pm

Since this is due to drop in the next few days I thought i'd post up a topic.

Really looking forward to this.

I think boxcutter's music will work especially well within an album context.

i'm not hating- i adored the brood 12" on hot flush. plus i've only heard album clips on mu.com and the breezeblock sesh so can't really make a fair judgement. nor do i think that this type of music is so one dimensional as to only be able to accomodate huge monolothic bassline-driven half step

BUT

the words ''logical'' and ''progression'' keep sprining to mind, and its making me feel uncomfortable.

anyone with a pre-order will already know this but there's been a delay with the vinyl version of the record, some sort of fuck-up at the manufacturers - they only received the artwork last week! so it'll probably be another couple of weeks before they're made and distributed... it's shitty but nothing can be done about it now.

thanks to everyone leaving comments.

bazzer smashed it with this one. there's some absolute classics like silver birch solstice, gave dub, bad you. as far as it being dubstep, not an issue as far as i'm concerned. it's all about the large vibes on this record.
