Massive Sync Death
How do you/is it possible to automate sync'd LFO rates in Massive? I just can't seem to crack it.
Cheers.
Cheers.

heh, need some more RAM and a dual core matemeckler wrote:Ack, 4 instances of Massive? My PC dislikes running even one. If it's the only way I'll give it a go though. I already hate the freeze function...
Using Cubase SX.
Seems like a bit of a glaring omission from the plugin... even Reason can do it.
grrr...
Yeah, i've read here somewhere that they are including it in a new version or something.. have to go suss it out on the native instruments site..
Just for the record, I don't think this is possible - all the programs int the list say [disabled]. The synth does have two filters and three LFOs though, so you can engineer two different sync rates. wobbble wobbble and wble wble wble wble for instance.masstronaut wrote:I haven't used Massive but you could try making lots of similar patches - just change the LFO rate and use program change messages to switch between them?
thanks anyway guys.
easy.
one way would be to resample massive with the filter frequency all the way up and no lfo so you get the full sound then load that in an automatable sampler and do the lfo/filtering in there.

Really, you can't change patches? OK. - I think Press's method above would work well anyway.meckler wrote:Just for the record, I don't think this is possible - all the programs int the list say [disabled]. 4 instances of Massive at once is a silly idea even if you are freezing them.

We're working on getting Native to add the automated synced LFO feature, but in the meantime, there are a ton of ways around it.Auan wrote:Use the performer, not the LFO. It's already synced and you can do clever things by using more than one performer source and/or the performance x-fade slider.
The performer is the most wide open, but then with the routing you can really go buck wild. You just have to be creative.
3-4 instances of massive is absurd, unless you have more ram than is reasonably affordable.
