Being serious - I own the Hero soundtrack on cd I also have it on my ipod why would i want to listen to a tune based around a huge samples from it? i don't understand why people do stuff like this. If you really want to make a tune then make a proper one with your own sounds; don't just add subbass and drums.

Man people have far too much time on their hands.

his post was inaccurate and a personal attack - my post was not a personal attack on the guy who created the video.

It has it's moments, but the fanboyism is getting well tiresome.

What really puzzles me is why no one has commented on THIS:

It's so fucking odd. ACE.
yeah I saw this the other night, burial soundtrack aside, psychadelic chameleon octopus creatures can only be a good thing

I just checked this thread, let me address a few things:
1) I ruined your song by making a video for it:
I don't see it that way, I love the song too, does the video epitomize all that the song says to me in a visual way? Of course not, I'm not a real director, and I didn't set out to do that.
2) What I did is not creative, I just played a song over an anime.
Not really, I did chop it up and do my best to match the mood of the tune to the proper video track -- though this is hard with electronic music.
3) It's lame it's just stealing something that you didn't do.
I'm not going to address the obvious irony in this statement.

Bottom line, it's fun for me to edit videos, it's a nice experience matching video to audio -- you should try it sometime.

I just put it on youtube so the people who want to hear the track get something half-way interesting to stare at for 4 minutes instead of the album cover.

It's cool that the little thing provoked such responses. This video is not my best work, for an example of some serious editing check out my video for TV on The Radio's track province, I cut up a 2 hour movie and I think it fits quite well.

i dont even understand what the deal is with archangel. its sooo all about etched headplate.

second, the video is suprisingly cool. I'ts not amazing, but who cares. the funny thing is that if Kode9 and burial themselves directed a video for this track, people would gush over it - even if this was the video they made.

It seems like it's pretty cool to be obsessed with dubstep if your into it. It's like, you've gotta be listening to it all the time and worshipping burial to even be into it. thats not healthy. It's just music, its just a genre. lets all chill out and have some ice cream or something.

Not really, sorry. It's not easy to take a half hour anime and put it down to 4 minutes and have it still make sense. And I used Sony Vegas :P
