I've been doing this alot lately..
2 Tablespoons olive oil
2 Tablespoons honey
1 heaping Teaspoon cumin
juice of 1 lime
handful chopped cilantro
$5 tray of chicken breasts
mix first 5 in a bowl.
cut chicken into strips or chunks or what have you
marinate chicken in the stuff for 15 minutes
bake at 350' or grill - if baking make sure your tray has a lip, check every 10 minutes until the liquid has evaporated and the marinade starts to carmelize..usually takes @25 minutes.
I just eat them straight like nuggets, but I heard they are good on a crusty roll..

None of that porky crap... Lamb is fucking amazing, Beef is pretty damn good.
Chicken is fairly hit and miss, nice bit of fried chicken can be amazing, but thigh and excessively dry roast chicken make me feel sick.
Sainsbury's basic chicken breasts are saving me as a student, get some tortillas, put some chunks of fried chicken in there with some cheese, salsa and guacamole and you are sorted.
And fish should count as meat (damn fish-eating veggies), so much good shit, monkfish, salmon, tuna (in sushi, not that shredded shit you get in sandwiches) and the good old fried cod in batter with some nice chunky chips.

Hear Hear!

Not recommended
Mutton, Lamb, Duck & Game are the faves here, all free range though.
Fish wise its Sea Bass, Red Snapper, Fresh Muscles, Pollock (Cheap & Good, tried for the first time recently in a Domoda) etc etc.
All this talk of food is making me hungry, I'm gonna go on a recipe surfing mission.

Tijuana style adobada tacos; its spicy marinated pork on a spit
chicken tikka masala as well.

This is my kind of thread.
I embrace all meat but the king of all has to be the Swine. Toooooo many products and dishes come from that fine animal.
mmmmm Roast Suckling Pig

If we are talking red meat it has to be Lamb. Nothing better than a Mogul style lamb leg marinaded for 5 days then slow roasted (im drooling)

VEAL!!!!!
One of the best meals I ever had was Veal in the south of spain.
And naturally chicken...preferably from the dirtiest greasiest chicken shop you can find!
Plus, anything from a pig. Including a nice chunk of crackling mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (although I had trotters in Portugal and have to say I didn't dig). Speaking of Portugal = BACALAU! (even if it is fish, but WHAT a fish dish!!)
If it were written with a needle on the corner of an eye...

Not tried Ox Tongue for a while, might try it again now my tastes have matured.
Im quite partial to Oxtail. Cooked up a big batch of it recently. The Sauce was so amazingly rich. The meat just melts in the mouth. Not for the squimish, especially when you roll out a whole Tail on the chopping board.

have to admit im a bit funny about offal and other weird type meats. used to love pate and tongue as a kid until i realised what they were (how the fuck did i not click what tongue was lol). same with stuff like skin and crackling
i love chicken, cook with that loads. im hearing you all about premium pig products. decent bacon and sausages are so much better, just got some decent smoked bacon and it doesnt even smell like what you think bacon does and its so fucking nice. made my day as a hangover meal at the weekend
i like almost all meat really, except im not very keen on lamb. don't really think it tastes that nice and its almost always fatty

Yeah on second thoughts, probs not the most ethical of purchases. But how can cruelty taste so good?
Hmm, am going to have to look for a replacement source of cheap birdmeat then...
Suggestions?
Although where i live i can just go halal anyway, bit more expensive, but much nicer than standard haraam stuff anyway, and a hell of a lot less cruel.
grr need some food now, stupid thread

Im from Wisconsin originally, so I gotta rep the Brats and Burgers!
Bratwurst, with onions and mustard only from the Phat Dogs cart that used to come around at bar close downtown Green Bay FTFW!
Or a big ol' bratwurst at a Green Bay Packers game with a gallon sized beer, sittin on the 50 yard line...
And of course a big ol steak, almost any cut... TriTip, Bacon wrapped Filet Mignon...
Meatloaf! Sandwiches! Meatloaf sandwiches!
Deep Fried Turkey! Hells yeah!
I wish I could have anything I just mentioned right now. I am so hungry after reading this post...

Get to your local butchers, it's not that much different in price than a supermarket, and the quality of food is farking shite loads beter than the wank meat you get from Tesco, Sainsbury etc..
