At least Mary Anne Hobbs plays a fair bit on her Radio 1 show, but it's at least on 1Xtra where I'd expect to find a show.

We all know it's not a fad. It's a "genre" (if we want to bring genres into it) with various styles. It can easily hold down a show.

The Mary Anne Hobbs show has lots of dubstep, I'm sure the Beeb feel like they're representing the show enough with that (and I doubt the numbers for that are going to be particularly astounding or you know it would be in a better timeslot/there would be more dubstep.
Plenty of places to listen to dubstep radio shows though, I wouldnae worry about it.

but mary anne hobbs' show isn't all dubstep. it's the experimental show which obviously a lot of dubstep falls under the genre of, but yeah 1xtra need to fix up and get rid of some of their brass shows and represent.

It's "experimental" but I've never heard anything experimental on it. Absolutely fucktons of dubstep though.

Yeah, don't know why they got rid of the most varied and interesting DnB show on the station.

excalibre
skitz
the list goes on...
and no i'm not bitter that they turned me down for a job there for which i was well qualified... not in the slightest

Im still gutted that they dropped Heartless. Wankers
The fact that they have given jobs to Westwood and Trevor Nelson speaks for itself.
