I agree this isn't burial's best remix, but i seriously love it all the same. It is quite different for him, even if it has many of his trademark elements. I love the tiny snatches of Stairwell he throws in occasionally.
I would love to see Thom Yorke and Burial collaborating on original stuff, not sure if that would be in any way likely, but the two of them have made some of the most amazing music i have ever heard.
Modeselektor remix is good, gives the track quite a lazy bounce, and the usual modeselektor vocal fuckery.
Heard the Various remix of analyse ages ago, always liked it, takes it to a whole new paranoid place.
Surgeon remix of the clock is wicked by the way, will definitely be getting the other lot of remixes
Just a quick note and something that i recall is that Thom Yorke seems to feel Burial sounds alot, the other day i was browsing through the YouTube thingy and got myself with a video of Yorke playing some tunes and his first selection was Near Dark, interesting.
for those interested
Anyway his djing skills arent that great (actually pretty similar to mine) but out to Thom each and every.

Been locked in to this Modeselektor's remix today, just right after their The White Flash tune with Yorke on the vocals collab.howstrange wrote:prefer the modeselektor one to be honest! aint heard various's yet
You have all the time in the world
Big partnership this one.

The Clock (Surgeon Remix)
- Powerful from the beggining till the end.
Harrowdown Hill (The Bug Remix)
- Heavy, loving the intro of the tune.
Cymbal Rush (The Field Remix)
- As usual, some great dubby\ambiental techno interpretation from the man.

Yup, Blackdown remix for me too
Im really feeling all the Burial tracks with 'real vocals' but.. errr? I cant get lost in them.
Easily. That Lata (Blackdown) remix is a percy, spine chilling.
Djslate wrote:Best Burial remix is Jamie Woon. STANDARD.

I wish I liked it more. The bass sound is phenomenal... but I don't think Burial Burialises it enough - he should've fucked with the voice more... like the Bloc Party mix.
