checkout dog farming they torture them then skin them alive tastes better apparently
I love the dawgs, someone should do that to them and see how they like it. I'm definitely going to try and go vegetarian next year (sorry Delendi), unnecessary cruelty is not something I want people indulging in it on my behalf.
im gonna get boomnoise to lock this thread for the emotional distress it has caused me.. Man.. skinning dogs, at least i know that the boars in the slaughter house where already dead before they where skinned!

i do like my uggboots tho, and im pretty sure a sheep was skinned for that...
sheep aren't skinned they are sheared, thats just the same as having your hair shaved off, they shave off the sheep fur but leave a little bit on, no skin taken off, for sheep its actually a necessary thing or else they overheat in summer

oh and to grand saying this thread should be locked - why?? i know its fairly nasty subject matter but if it makes people think about the issue then surely thats a good thing?

True, but UGGs are made of the actual skins of the sheep as well as insulated with wool. UGGs are lame. And they give cute girls smelly feet.

Fur in general is lame, unless as already stated, its using up the leftovers from food, then I guess it is better than wasting it. Like the indians used to do, if you have to kill it, use every part of the animal possible.

Oh, and Shonks, did a quick google and leather for the most part is a by-product of the meat industry.

Guys wear them here, usually older guys with long hair who smell of patchouli and flash the peace sign too often. Alot of times with a matching leather vest and feathers in said long hair. Smelly hippies.

Yeah, I grew up in a part of the US where taxedermy and tanning of skins was quite commonplace. I think Ill skip the video. I've seen close enough to that in person. Not a fond memory.

ha grand.....if i knew how, i would lose my shit and make everything crash after watching that. thankfully for everyone. i cant stomach that nasty of a video....i cant do it......id def get more than just teary eyed.

fur is stupid. it looks dumb and bulky. the only fur i think looks cute is fake fur on the edge of a hood on a jacket.

i agree....thought the only ones still rockin fur were rick stinky old people who think the world is theirs to buy.

its really stupid. im vegetarian....and ill buy leather from time to time. but nothing other than a pair of really nice shoes maybe once a year?.....im not a supporter of leather or fur clothing.

and yes it is a diff kind of cow for leather...not the same as your meat cows.

im not in a mood to preach or rant....im sure if you google some shit you can find out how to help stop it and just educate yourselves....
big up the donut crew!

it makes sense to try and make a use out of what is leftover right?
Thats the point, they dont get an animal and kill it for meat and then use the fur. They kill the creature for its fur only.
