skream said something interesting in an interview about having a zoot after he's finished a tune to give him a 'listeners perspective', cause it makes it all sound new

wouldn't know where to look for the interview, though, so this information is probably useless.

MrHope wrote:Drugs are bad for you. In other words, they can cause chemical brain damage or other health issues. An example of chemical brain damage is meth causing permanent anhedonia. Anhedonia is when your brain is chemically imbalanced as such that you DO NOT FEEL PLEASURE for anything. It's like your pleasure center gets turned off. Do not take this lightly. Not feeling pleasure means not being able to enjoy ANYTHING!!!!
Anhedonia sucks bad. It has something to do with fucked up neurotransmitters or something. anyways, Meth can cause it so DONT FUCKING DO METH.
It is with meth as it is with all stimulant drugs. Don't do it regularly. If you become addicted it'll fuck you up, but if you don't you can have a wonderful time with a drug once a month. The main problem with and the beauty of stimulants is that they stimulate a neurotransmitter called serotonin, if this is stimulated on a regular basis your body will stop producing it and you will sink into a drug addiction and depression.
Psychedelics like shrooms, lsa, lsd, dmt, 2c-x's and mescalin stimulate your serotonin center as well, but much less. It's still unknown precisely how the psychedelics work but here's a helpful quote:"The psychedelics do not merely induce familiar states of mind but rather shift the locus of experiences so that they are qualitatively different from those of ordinary consciousness. The psychedelic experience is often compared to non-ordinary forms of consciousness such as trance, meditation, and dreams."
I say fuck the stimulants, do psychedelics instead (if you feel the urge to do drugs, and you're not psychically unstable that is).
You probably won't be able to produce much music on these, but you'll expand your mind, become one with the universe and you won't catch and addiction. Keep it safe out there.
"If the devil tries to dance with you, you better say never, cause the dance with the devil might last you forever"

This post is arrogant. Note to humans in general: don't help anyone who hasn't asked for it, it makes you look like a douche.

To the other fellow up there...

If I see somebody about to accidentally do something destructive to themselves like walk into an oncoming bus, I like to warn them. It's got nothing to do with arrogance.

walking infront of a bus and taking drugs are to seperate things.

drugs/drink, if controlled, can be of great benifit to us.

if abused they will fuck you up.

its a thin line though.

Of course you don't think it's arrogant. However it comes from the same place as Christian Evangelicals which is a terrible way of behaving and looking at others as though they need to be "saved." As if everyone who uses drugs recreationally is an irresponsible invalid with no ability to comprehend simple logic.

You don't have to be a hero to be a good person, and just because someone engages in chemical activity for leisure or inspiration does not mean they are going to destroy themselves.

This is all I'm saying.

I think there is a difference between people that use and people that abuse. Yes - meth grabs people by the balls - it IS dangerously addictive - but just like any drug if you can control it, you can handle it in moderation.

I know some ppl who taking some chemicals when they produce should be great, coz you can finish faster a track, but no thanks.
drugs are great and so is production, but i've always found its more of a hindrance really, specially for mixing down/eq- avoid doing that. i get interesting ideas of how i'm gonna approach music, but wait until straight to actually do em. if you wanna make life really difficult try producing on a chosty line of k, its near impossible

But don't do it if you really don't know your tools or if you are really unorganized. You'll just get lost. :D
