Fwd NYE - reactions etc...

Post by quadrophonic » Wed Jan 02, 2008 1:41 pm

Couldn't find the original post for this - must've disappeared with the rest...

Quite a strange night - suprisingly quiet (£20 ticket) and by 4ish most people sittin out back...

Good sets all round - anyone catch the last half hour of Appleblim - played some sick tunes. I thought best sets of night were Youngsta n Distance by far - heavy mixin from these as always. Bit messy gettin home but all gd now.

Any other thoughts?

Got there at 3 after visiting various other shit venues. Thought 'fuck it, we'll pay the £20' and didn't regret it one bit.

Not sure who played the 3-4 set but it was heavy. Good varied selection of tunes, only one rewind and enough room on the dancefloor to wave my arms about like a tnuc.

Winner.

i thought it was pretty awful from what i saw. self-centred wankers strewn everywhere lol

i got there about 3:45 with kode9, went upstairs and heard the awful sound (good tunes though).. stuck about for half of kode9s set then went to a house party in dalston. what was it saying before 3am?

the bonfire outside by the river was sick though!!

What pissed me off was that cock that kept on saying "Fuck off" when each song got wheeled. He was the one that should have fucked off.

It was OK but pretty empty!

Not half as good as last year!

For me Kode 9 and Mala / Coki played the best sets

the sound was quite bad for Kode 9's set (btw his personalised adidas jacket is wicked :D) but before that it was good, sounded worse the emptier it got..

Seb Chew played the best garage set ive ever hear earlier that night the whole room was going fucking crazy! That gaz guy playing indie and reggae was cool too..Overall was great, need mroe nights like this!
