Mr Bungle

Post by oddfellow » Thu Jan 03, 2008 1:28 pm

Even though dubstep takes up the majority of my listening time Mr Bungle are still my favourate band of all time. Was just wondering if anyone else was into them? The second and third albums especially are mindblowing.

Mr Bungle is quality. California is an excellent album, Mike Pattern is very cool. You like any of Mike Patterns other projects?

Used to like a load of his stuff although I havent heard much from him recently. I assume he is still going strong though. Still love his colab with The Dillinger Escape Plan. That was a mental EP.

Indeed! Although the majority of the time they are nothing like FNM. The second and third albums (Disco Volante and California) are miles better then the first album, although its more accessible.

Thats what is so great about Patton all of his projects are really diverse - a true artist.

Bungle were wicked.
but I had a real obsession with FNM for ages

If you like Bungle mate, ya might wanna try some Praxis.
George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Buckethead, Bill Laswell and Brain all in one fucked up deathmetal/dub/ambient/drone-funk package that makes Zappa look tame. I shit you not!
Their second album, Sacrifist has Mick Harris of Scorn on drums too. Yum.
Buckethead is worth the ticket alone.
