Are there any weekend nights in Manc? As all the ones I know about are midweek and me and my mate can't get down to them due to work etc.. Its a proper ball ache.

That looks great but I can't make that one unfortunately. Its promising that there are some though. Don't they do a night on Tuesday or Wednesday's at Sankeys too? Or is Tuedays when Dubstep gives me nightmares is on? Because if they are starting to play out on a Friday too things are looking up. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

ive typed similar to this before, Horza mate seriously, its such hard work to do a Dubstep night in this city. Both Thomas & I are working extremely hard to get this city aware and to the point where there are nights on the regular.

If you knew about Jasbofs + Dreadnoughts pasts youd see the staggered gaps inbetween nights, this is usally because were both losing cash and are taking time to save up more to throw at the nights we do.
I had to take a complete rest from promoting in 2006, because I lost a shitload of cash down to being naive and stupid, you learn from your mistakes though and im a lot wiser now.
I brought Shackleton + Appleblim up and it was jokes how many people turned up, I was mortified and embaressed by it, but those guys being the way they are still managed to have a good time and knew that it was gonna be hard for us, honestly some of the nicest blokes ive ever met, I think our problem back then was we had picked up on Dubstep a bit too quickly and ahead of everyone else in Liverpool, id love to have them back and hopefully they will at some point, I have a lot of people in mind.

To explain the work we are doin here, I have just been made a resident at Chibuku, and im CONSTANTLY on at them to book people. Chibuku have the power and chequebook to book pretty much anyone (theyve had Dizzee Rascal on FFS!), and Rich who promotes it is always keen to hear new ideas. Caspa + Rusko on the 2nd Feb will be a nice start.
I will hopefully be persuading them to keep up the Dubstep goodness.
Thomas, as always, is one of the hardest working promoters I know, for someone on his 6th event hes doing so fucking well, ive done about 30 and im learning from him, he is a soldier and I know Dreadnoughts gonna go from stregth to stregth this year, hes too determined for it to not.
Me personally, ive got the bug back, I eased myself back in the last few months of 07 with some free partys and shizzle, trying to get the old loyal Jasbof following back and had some good times, ive just secured The Lemon Lounge for the 2nd Friday of every month, which means I can now plan ahead properly, there are gonna be at least 9 jasbofs with special guests this year. trust me, big things are coming, I am beavering away.
April 11th + June 13th are going to be massive, trust, but please remember I will NOT keep my night to one style, Ive got DnB, Techno and Breakcore special guests coming as well. I cant stick to one genre.

All I can say is keep supporting the scene, come to all the nights, try make sure me + Thomas dont lose too much money so we can do more nights and eat and stuff, and I know speaking for us both, we will deliver.
Done forget teh HIVE boys have some special shiz lined up this year seeing as though we are Capital Of Culture and all that jazz.
2008 will be remembered trust me.
See ya @ Kode 9 at the front

Its amazing the work you are both doing. I am shocked to hear that dubstep hasnt gone crazy in liverpool yet. I played at a house party the day after benga played and people were absolutely amazed by it.

DJ Furness: Are you a weekly resident or only monthly? I think you were Djing when Mary Anne Hobbs played but cannae be sure.

Yeah guys, seriously keep making sure you support your local dubstep nights , especially if you live outside London or Bristol. If you don't turn up, us promoters lose money and then either can't afford to book the big names or, even worse, can't keep the nights going.

And Kode9 at Dreadnought is gonna be rude. No excuses

Said to myself Im gonna get out to Liverpool alot more, especially now the Dubstep is on its way :) Count me in for Kode 9, going the night before aswell but why not hehe!

Im happy to hear you're not just sticking to Dubstep aswell, tis always good having some variety in your nights. Stops everyone from just sitting on the dancefloor halfway through the night haha!

You know you've got the support of the people clued in. Hopefully means I'll get to meet you both in person soon enough aswell :) Peace!

big up richard and thomas

i`l be appearing at every 1 of their nite sthey put on this year...i live over the other sid eof the water and can cost me a lot all of the time, travelling taxis etc..but i have decided that i will drive over and stay 4 the best part of the nite on occasions when i cant afford it or somet

i did it when benga played @ the magnet , in december for music week, and if the attendance from that nite is anything to go by, the rest of the year is going to be a smasher 4 the 2 lads!!!!!

THANKS
