Anyone want to make some tracks in Renoise with me?

Post by vadarfone » Fri Jan 11, 2008 9:25 am

Anyone?

Renoise is excellent for collabs because the song file includes everything (except 3rd party plugs)

I am in Japan, so time differences would mean that chatting on MSN would be limited (unless you are near me... peeps in Japan holla)

Reckon it could be a laugh. If it shit, we dont lose anything but a bit of time. If it rocks it rocks.

Bum.

vadarfone. i'm on it if you don't mind workin with a bit of a noob.

i'm keen, been torn between ableton and renoise for months and rarely finish a track. i could do with some one to beat me in to finishing a track.

can make wobbles, get me head round chopping breaks and just about understand the wierd speed thing in renoise.

if that sounds acceptable drop me a pm.

i did a lot of collabs back in the good old fasttracker ][ days... it was fun esp when 2 or more ppl with different musical backgrounds worked on one tune. dubstep can have so many different varieties nowadays, so it'd be interesting what the outcome of such a collab would be.. i'd like to join a renoise collab, see http://www.myspace.com/drenchedinbass for my tunes. all made with renoise 1.5 and some 3rd party vsts. using 1.9 now, really great improvements in this version!

I will download this later tonight. Btw, does it have VST support?

Sure it will be a good way to learn some new tricks.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Why? What can it do that others cannot or what does it do better?
Downloaded a VST last night I have heard mention loads on here, Albino. I dont use VSTs but downloaded a pack of them last night.

Renoise..

Best and fastest interface. Basically an MPC on steroids.
Excellent Sound
Tiny CPU load
Fast to make tracks
Buff as fuck all round
Cheap
Excellent support
Regular updates
Cool helpful community
Totally suited to programmed music, unlike all the traditional horizontal sequencers which were not designed to make electronic music with in the first place.

etc etc etc etc
