Dubstep + Niche / Bassline
can someone point me in the direction of some of the darker stuff.
ive been pickin up some bits recently like the mr.v and witty boy eps which no doubt are quality and have put some some much needed fun back into my recent purchases but id like to hear some more of the darker stuff. artists or labels wud be gud.

got some 2nd II None, EJ, LAS from Rossi B a year or 2 ago..Alex bk-bk wrote:check out 2nd II none and LAS and Dexplicit (not that dark but certainly not cartoony)
for older bits there's narrows, dubchild, morph... other bits on Heavy Artillery
that side, the darker side, morph, narrows, wouldn't class that as niche, its just dark garage is it not?
balls to pidgeon-holing.. not a fan of the new cheap bassline, but give me the stuff mentioned above all day long..

Sinden et al making some heavy music, no sub often but it aint all bout that, some of it is slower in comparison to modern dubstep but I dont think it matters so much, depends on the set. can always play the dubstep slower, definitely makes a change from the trend of dj's to play it at + 500000000000000.

Yeah, I'm quite enjoying that sort of stuff at the moment, like you say it's not really subby but really good fun and got loads of those what-the-fuck twists which get me going. A lot of them aren't house headz originally though are they so I suppose that adds a new dimension to itJubscarz wrote:Sinden et al making some heavy music, no sub often but it aint all bout that, some of it is slower in comparison to modern dubstep but I dont think it matters so much, depends on the set. can always play the dubstep slower, definitely makes a change from the trend of dj's to play it at + 500000000000000.

but if theres sum more imaginitive beats being dropped then point me in the right direction, or otherwise save me the bother of searching; cant stand anything made 4x4 since about 1993
