I always think of that as hardcore rather than happy hardcore which I always think of as that boingy stuff for 13 year olds.

Old skool is fucking excellent. And I do likes a bit of gabba :D
Nothing wrong with hardcore in my book(early R&S, moving shadow, reinforced records)infact for me, some of the hypest, most slamming dance music EVER made.

But this thread is about HAPPY hardcore, which is complete joke music, and not even worth mentioning in the same breath.

And up here, it is only of interest to big eared farmers.

Well I suppose the tuck your sport socks into your shell suit massive like it too. That cover you delendi?

Man there has been a big HH / rave revival going on in my town. I have no idea where that shit came from. Sure we did hardcore back in the early 90's but we went straight on to dnb, techno, house, etc. The big HH dj in town actually does like dubstep btw. I am not sure what to think about that tbh.

Concentrate on the positives, ignore the negatives, everyone's happy. :D

nah i was the bikini + fluffy leg things variety. i'm not a scally so i don't own a shell suit.

i don't see the problem with joke music. it doesn't have to be all deep and meaningful to be enjoyable, that's so emo. take what you want from music.

that would be CJA as it is now law. considering you claim to have been affected by it I'd have thought you'd have known that.

Spiral Tribe fucked off to Europe to escape the CJA though.

Though hanging with Spiral Tribe would explain his boom boom theory of techno.

Never really saw much of my dad anyways - but he was pretty well known back in the day actually so fuk u right back.

They do start them young on the free party scene, seen quite a few people bring the kids along for the morning (not so sure about during the night though). Think Elementalism said he was taken to outdoor jungle raves at 8 a few weeks back.

We hosted a room for Spor, who were somehow connected to Spiral Tribe when they squatted the old Co-op bank down here about ten years back, that place was like party central for about a month or more. They operated as a drop-in centre during the day so there were art workshops for the nippers and anyone else that fancied it. Really sound people too.

When the coppers came to evict them, the bailiffs had to make conversation with sock puppets at the door - think the video might be floating around somewhere
Hmm....

Yeah I seen that - that woz done by this geezah called Mark Harrison who was the originator of spiral tribe. Like I said my dad DJd for them a dn this other crew Circus Rap )could have been Circus Warp actually, cant remember).

But he went on to do big legal events although he dont do them no more cos he got fucked up on the pipe.

Anyways I aint seen him since I was like, 12, bruv.

But I know about techno and shit - was listening to it at scool back in 95/96. I even got casette tapes with my Dad's DJ name on them!!

Yeah - Mark and Xander, yeah thats right. Two brothers. I kipped in dere van at Glastonbury in 2001 - last time they had a travellers field just outside the main fence. I was like 14 or something - just gettin into pills and that.

Hey bro, no worries about my Dad - he is a pipe hitter from Bristol ways. Only met him a few times as my mum is a traveller and he is more Bristol rudeboy! Lolz.

He was quite well known on da old rave scene as it goes - Played for that rave outfit Fantazia nuff times apparently.
