Midwest Dubstep Represent
presented by NICHE STYLE / SOUND

An evening of low end pressure, future dub, dubstep & B A S S :
featuring:

MERRICK BROWN
[ TEXAS VIA CHICAGO | TEKTIKE RECORDINGS ]
Founder of the Texas based techno label, Tektike Recordings, Merrick has recently transplanted to the midwest. With his new location, comes a new direction in sound bridging the gap between the sounds of techno and dubstep. Witness the evolution of future B A S S music.
DESTRO
[ MKE | Zodrecords.com ]
http://myspace.com/zodrecords
Sam Derickson's vision has led to the creation and inevitable evolution and mutation of zod records. He is also an impeccable dj who started off spinning experimental minded techno and acid and eventually, after working tirelessly, has created a style that blends all types of music he wishes to put onto turntables, regardless of style or genre (today with an emphasis on the harder side of dubstep). In this way he can be seen as a purveyor / preserver of the underground; sort of an art-historian of the electronic underground music scene.

CUTFUCKER
[ MAD | mnmlefrt crew]
myspace.com/cutfucker
Matt has been heavily involved with the sound of dubstep since its evolution from 2-step garage. One of the first midwest djs to rock the sound, Cutfucker played the first all dubstep HomeBrew and the Y-Not III Midwest Dubstep All-Stars parties in Milwaukee. With a strong presence at clubs and afterparties in both Madison and Milwaukee, Cut drops the heavy sounds of dub.

LYNX
[ MKE | 88nine.com ]
http://www.myspace.com/guru_amrit
Marcus rocks the fm dial 88nine in MKE on the regular and often times takes his eclectic tastes to the clubs. For this evening, his focus is on the underground sound of the UK. This will be Marcus' first official dubstep set on a proper soundsystem.

SCREENDOOR
[ MKE | nichemilwaukee.com ]
http://www.myspace.com/djscreendoor
Host for the evening, come early to check the more experimental and atmospheric side of dubstep. As one part owner of Niche Style / Sound, Screendoor has his fingers on the pulse of the latest bass emissions from the UK.
